It copes with vibration in a way a flooded battery never did, and it can be mounted in the orientations the manufacturer specifies. Sealed does not mean airtight: a VRLA battery can vent under overcharge, so give it the ventilation the data sheet asks for. Care between trips is light but not nothing: keep it charged in storage and check the terminals when you check the rest of the system.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eThe trade is weight and depth. An AGM is heavy for its capacity, and drawing it deep and often shortens its life, so a share of the rated amp hours is there to protect the battery rather than run the fridge.
