Dual colour LED lights do not physically repel bugs, but they are much less likely to attract them. Insects are primarily drawn to the UV and blue light found in standard cool white LEDs. Orange or amber light sits at a different wavelength that is far less visible to most flying pests.

A standard 12V LED camping light kit will typically run for several days off a portable battery box. Most individual LED bars draw roughly 0.5 to 0.8 amps per hour on full brightness.
