About Light Accessories
A light is a light. The accessory is what makes it a fitting.
Out of the box, a light bar is a strip with a lead. It becomes part of the setup when it has somewhere to hang, a way to reach the power, and a way to be controlled from where you are. Those three things are the accessories, and a light without them ends up propped on a chair with the lead across the ground.
Clips that hold a bar to a pole, to an awning arm or flush to a panel, so the light hangs where the table is and stays there in wind. Extension cables and splitters that get the power from the socket to the light without a new run to the battery. A motion sensor that turns a light on when someone walks under the awning at night and off again when they have gone. Dimmers and remotes that put the control in a hand rather than at the socket. Adhesive mounts for the cable, so it runs along the arm rather than dangling from it.
None of it is expensive and all of it is what turns a box of lights into a campsite that is lit the way you want.
Check the plug system before buying leads or dimmers. Clips and mounts are mostly universal. Leads and dimmers are not.
