About Bushman
Bushman builds fridges for Australian conditions rather than adapting them for it, and that shows up in the details that matter after a few seasons.
Fridges are a category where the specification sheets look similar and the differences appear later. Two units with the same capacity and a similar current draw can behave very differently on a forty degree day with the lid opening every hour, and the reason is usually insulation thickness, compressor quality and how the electronics handle heat.
The range covers both formats. Portable chest units for a vehicle that moves the fridge between builds, drawer fridges that slide out from under a bench, and full-height uprights for a caravan or a van where the fridge stands in a cabinet with a door. Aluminium fridge boxes and mounting trays sit alongside them, sized to the fridges rather than approximately.
Heavy duty is the phrase that runs through the range, and in practice it means thicker insulation, a compressor with headroom, and a case built to be strapped down and left on a corrugated track for a week.
Size from the number of people and the number of days. Then check the current draw against the battery bank, because a fridge is the load the whole power system is built around, and getting it wrong is expensive in both directions.
