About Camping Gear
Camping gear gets judged in the dark, in the wind, by someone who has been driving for six hours.
That is the only test that counts. Not how it looks on a shelf and not what the specification says. Whether it goes up, turns on, gets cold or throws light when the person using it is tired, the light is going, and the instructions are in a bag somewhere. Gear that passes that test gets packed every trip. Gear that does not gets left at home after the second time.
So the range here is chosen for that. A fridge that runs off a battery box without an install. Camp lights that clip to a pole and connect with one plug. A portable panel that unfolds and points at the sun. Shelter that goes up in a minute and packs down in the same minute. Tools that live in a crate and work when they come out of it.
None of it is bolted to anything. That is the difference between this and the rest of the store. It plugs in, clips on, unfolds or stands up, and at the end of the trip it goes back in the boot.
The other thing that decides it is how everything connects. Gear that all runs off one battery box, on one plug standard, is gear that goes out as a set rather than a pile of separate things each needing its own lead. Sort that out once and the pack becomes a crate rather than a puzzle.
Buy for how fast it deploys and how small it packs. Everything else is secondary, because the gear that is slow to set up is the gear that stays in the car on a one-night stop.
