About Roam Gear
Roam Gear is the range we control end to end, and that is the reason it exists.
Buying someone else's product means accepting their decisions. The frame thickness on a panel, the length of a lead, the number of mounting points, the warranty period. Most of the time those decisions are fine. Sometimes they are not, and there is nothing to be done about it except stock a different brand with a different set of compromises.
The own-brand range is the answer to the places where none of the available compromises were right. Slimline panels with a 20mm frame, because a standard frame does not sit well on a rooftop tent lid. Glass panels with more mounting points, because a panel that can only be fixed at the corners flexes on a corrugated roof. A ten year warranty on the glass and slimline panels, and five years on the flexible ETFE range, because a panel is a long-lived product and the warranty ought to say so.
Beyond the panels, it covers the parts of an install that are bought in quantity and rarely thought about. Leads made up to the lengths that actually get used. Anderson plugs sold singly and in packs. MC4 connectors, inline fuses and fuse holders. Surface mounts in single, double and triple.
None of it is exotic. All of it is specified by people who install this gear rather than people who catalogue it.
