Rekcharge 12V Dual Flush Mount Panel with Cigarette Lighter & Twin USB Sockets

A flush mount installation recesses your switches and sockets directly into the paneling, creating a clean, integrated finish where the face of the unit sits level with the surface. This is a popular choice for professional campervan and canopy builds because it saves valuable surface real estate and protects the connections from being snagged by loose gear.

A surface mount installation involves housing your sockets inside a box that sits on top of the surface, which is often a simpler choice if you do not want to cut large holes in your vehicle paneling. While surface mounts are easy to install, they can take up more room and leave the housing exposed to physical knocks. A flush mount panel creates a professional, factory-style finish by recessing your power points directly into the vehicle interior or drawer system. This design is much more resilient in a 4WD or canopy environment because it prevents plugs and switches from catching on gear or being accidentally activated while you are loading or unloading.

By hiding the bulk of the connector housing, you reclaim surface area and achieve a cleaner look that helps keep your cabin organized. Surface mount boxes are a simpler install, yet they sit out from the wall, leaving the housing exposed to physical knocks from shifting cargo on rough tracks. If your priority is space optimization and a secure, low-profile fit, a flush system is the most practical choice. We provide several flush mount panel configurations to suit different vehicle layouts, ranging from single-port housings to multi-panel assemblies. A single-port mount is a practical choice for a dedicated solar input or a primary 12V supply point near a fridge slide. Multi-panel units are much more versatile for centralizing your cabin controls, as they combine USB ports, cigarette lighter sockets, and voltage displays into one recessed footprint.

These panels are built for off-road reliability, with durable housings that prevent terminals from loosening due to the constant vibration of corrugated tracks. Choosing a multi-panel assembly helps you organize your canopy or drawer system while keeping essential power-points accessible at all times. Yes, installing a flush mount panel requires a precise cutout in your interior paneling, drawer system, or canopy wall. This process is necessary to recess the connector housing, which creates the clean, low-profile finish that helps keep your connections protected from shifting cargo. You should always verify the panel dimensions and check for any internal obstructions, such as cabling or structural framing, before you begin cutting.

Taking the time to measure accurately makes sure the unit sits flush against the mounting surface, which prevents rattling on corrugated tracks. Using a template or following the provided dimension guide is a practical way to achieve a professional result on your first attempt. Yes, many of our multi-panel assemblies feature a modular design that allows you to customize the layout to fit your specific power needs. You can swap out a standard cigarette lighter socket for a high-speed USB-C Power Delivery port, or replace a switch with a voltage gauge to monitor your battery health at a glance. This flexibility is a major benefit for travelers who want to build a control center that perfectly matches their appliance requirements.

Customizing your panel helps you eliminate the need for external adapters, keeping your cabin or canopy fit-out clean and functional. You can browse our range of flush mount panels to see which styles support these modular changes, or explore our accessory sockets & gauges collection to find the individual ports needed for your build.
