Overview

Product Information

Product Description

Feel safer at your campsite with Hardkorr’s motion sensor for Hardkorr lights. The sensor is designed for Hardkorr white LED camp light bars; Hardkorr orange/white and tri-colour lights also work when used with an appropriate dimmer switch. It detects movement within an 8m radius and keeps your camp area lit for 60 seconds.

Using its built-in magnet, the sensor can be attached to any magnetic surface. Another option is to secure it to a tent pole or awning with Hardkorr’s dimmer pole clamps (HAR-KORRBARCLIP).

FAQs

Frequently Asked Questions

Amber vs clear LED spotlight covers: Which cuts through dust better?

Amber covers are much more effective for cutting through dust and mist. The longer wavelength of orange or amber light does not reflect off airborne particles as much as crisp white light. This helps reduce the wall of glare that clear lenses often produce in dusty outback conditions or heavy fog.

Clear covers are the better choice for maximum distance in clear conditions because they allow the full intensity of the LED to reach further down the track. Many travelers keep a set of both to swap based on the environment. Explore our LED Spotlights to see compatible covers, or check our LED Spotlights & Floodlights range for versatile beam options.

How to stop 4WD LED spotlights from being stolen?

Using security nuts or anti theft bolts is the most effective way to protect your lights from theft. These specialized fasteners require a unique key for removal, which makes it much more difficult for opportunistic thieves to unbolt your gear. Many high quality driving lights now include these security components as standard hardware.

Adding a small tack weld to the mounting nut is another permanent solution used by some travelers for high value setups. Providing this protection is a smart move before heading into populated areas or leaving your vehicle unattended at remote trailheads. Find secure mounting options and accessories in our LED Spotlights collection.

How to mount an LED light bar to a bullbar without drilling?

You can mount a light bar without drilling by using specialized bullbar tube clamps. These brackets wrap around the tube of your bar and provide a flat mounting point for your light. They are available in various sizes to match the diameter of most standard bullbars and nudge bars.

This approach allows for a clean installation that does not affect the structural integrity or the finish of your bar. It also gives you the flexibility to adjust the position or height of the light easily.
