    About Enerdrive

Enerdrive builds systems rather than products, and the difference shows in an install that has to work first time.

Most 12V setups are assembled from parts that were never designed to meet. A charger from one maker, a monitor from another, fusing from whatever the shop had. Each part is fine and the combination argues, and when the bank never quite fills nobody can say which part is the reason.

The Enerdrive approach is the opposite. The DC to DC charger, the AC charger, the battery monitor, the shunt, the fusing, the busbars and the cable are chosen together and mounted on a board that bolts into the vehicle wired and labelled. The parts have already agreed with each other before anything is opened.

That runs from compact systems that charge from the alternator and run a fridge, up to full boards with an inverter charger and a large lithium bank for a vehicle that lives on the road. Handed versions suit whichever side of the vehicle the board is going in.

The individual components sit here too, for builds that are not going down the system route. Chargers, inverters, inverter chargers, monitors, lithium batteries in standard and slim cases, busbars, fuses and remote displays.

Choose the system by the daily draw and the charging available, not by the largest one on the page.

    Enerdrive FAQs

Who is Enerdrive and what is their reputation in the Australian off-grid industry?

Enerdrive is an Australian pioneer in off grid power, founded in 2003 with deep roots in the marine industry. They have built a reputation for creating high quality power ecosystems that handle the relentless demands of the outback and open water. Their expertise lies in bridging the gap between technical complexity and user friendly operation for travelers who need dependable power far from mains electricity.

The brand is known for its focus on clean energy and total system integration. Following their acquisition by Dometic in 2021, they have continued to lead the market with Australian innovation backed by global resources. This history makes them a trusted name for serious off grid installations where maintaining power is a necessity rather than a luxury.

What are the benefits of building an integrated Enerdrive power ecosystem?

Building an integrated Enerdrive power ecosystem allows all your components to work together as a single, coordinated unit. This approach removes the communication issues that often happen when mixing different brands, where a charger might not correctly understand the state of a battery. When your solar regulator, DC to DC charger, and lithium battery share the same engineering logic, the entire system runs more efficiently.

An integrated setup also simplifies your fit out and future troubleshooting. You get a cleaner installation with less wiring mess and a clearer understanding of your power flow through a unified monitoring platform. This coordination helps you get the most from your gear and extends the service life of your batteries. You can browse our pre-wired Power Systems to see these integrated setups in action, or explore the different 12V Power Systems available for your rig.

What makes Enerdrive Lithium batteries (B-TEC) a top choice for off-grid travel?

Enerdrive B TEC lithium batteries are a preferred choice because they offer advanced smart management and massive weight savings. They provide much more usable energy than traditional lead acid batteries while weighing up to 60 percent less. This makes them ideal for 4WD and caravan builds where staying under your legal vehicle weight is a primary concern.

Each battery includes built-in Bluetooth monitoring that sends real time system data directly to your phone. You can track your state of charge and current draw without needing extra wiring or a complex install. To see our full range, browse our Lithium Batteries or explore Battery Monitors for more ways to keep an eye on your power levels.

How do Enerdrive MPPT Solar Regulators maximize energy harvest in Australian conditions?

Enerdrive MPPT regulators use advanced tracking technology to find the most efficient voltage point for your panels at any given moment. This allows the system to harvest up to 30 percent more energy than a basic regulator, which is a major advantage during short winter days or hazy coastal mornings.

In the heat of the Australian outback, solar panel performance can fluctuate. These regulators constantly adjust the incoming power to match what your battery needs, making sure every bit of sunlight is used to its full potential while protecting your cells from overcharging. They are designed to manage the specific charging profiles of lithium and AGM batteries. To see how these controllers manage different types of panels, browse our range of Solar Controllers or explore our selection of 12V Solar Panels to start building your system.

Why should I choose an Enerdrive ePOWER Pure Sine Wave Inverter for my electronics?

An Enerdrive ePOWER pure sine wave inverter produces clean and stable electricity identical to what you receive from a wall socket at home. This is critical for running sensitive electronics like laptops, camera chargers, and medical equipment without the risk of damaging delicate internal circuits.

Cheaper modified sine wave units can often cause electrical interference or overheating in high value devices. The ePOWER range provides a smooth and consistent output, allowing you to run household appliances such as coffee machines or microwaves with confidence while you are off grid. You can find the right size for your setup in our Inverters collection or look at the specific 12V Pure Sinewave Inverters for your next build.

Does Enerdrive offer pre-wired or "plug-and-play" power systems?

Yes, Enerdrive provides a range of pre wired power systems that simplify the installation of complex electrical setups. These boards, such as the Explorer and Traveller series, come with the main chargers, solar regulators, and battery monitors already mounted and linked. By choosing a plug and play solution, you avoid the common mistakes of a DIY wiring project and save hours of work during your canopy or van fit out.

Each board is built to handle outback conditions and includes the necessary circuit protection for safety. This integrated approach helps you build a professional setup that is easy to manage from day one. You can find these pre configured Power Systems in our catalogue or browse our 12V Power Systems to see which board size fits your space.

Is Enerdrive gear durable enough for both marine and outback environments?

Enerdrive gear is specifically engineered to survive in both marine and outback conditions. The brand began in the marine sector where components must resist high humidity and salt air, which translates perfectly to the dust and extreme heat of outback touring. Many of their chargers and battery systems are sealed or use specialized coatings to protect internal electronics from the elements.

This high level of protection makes sure that your power remains steady if your rig is facing heavy coastal spray or constant outback vibrations. Most Enerdrive components are housed in sturdy cases designed for mounting in boats, 4WD canopies, or caravans. By choosing gear designed for these environmental tensions, you reduce the chance of system failure in isolated areas.
