About 12V Distribution Boxes
The point of a distribution box is that the battery stops being the place you connect things.
Every accessory added after the box goes in connects to the box, not to the post. A new light is a fused output and a run to the fitting. A second USB socket is another output. A fan, a pump, a charger for the drill batteries. None of it means opening the battery box, none of it means another lug on the terminal, and none of it means a run back to the source.
That changes how a setup grows. Without a distribution point, most additions mean a run back to the battery. With one, most are another output on the box. Label each output when it goes in and a year later the box reads like a map of the vehicle.
The formats here run from compact fused blocks for a small setup through control hubs with a charger in the same enclosure to full boards where distribution is one function among several. How each output is protected varies by model, so check that every circuit ends up with its own protection, which is what lets one fault stay one fault.
Mount it where the outputs can be reached and read, not where it was easiest to hide. A distribution box in a locker under the bed is a box nobody labels and nobody checks.
